If I hear "I don't have time" one more time...

"I don't have the time." I call BS.. Yup, I said it.

But you always find the time for things that you think "need" to get done, right?

Taking care of yourself, like making sure you do silly things like drinking enough water, taking a walk, or actually having a balanced schedule, not being mentally and physically exhausted or feeling like you're not constantly in overwhelm...don't "need" to be done?

I have told myself this for years. I've done this. I'm you. I've taken care of everyone else before me. I'd be exhausted, running on fumes, feeling like I was just moving day to day, the same thing over and over. It was my own literal Groundhog Day and for many years, I couldn't find the way out.

And while there are definitely certain things that need to be done for others, I always got them done. But I was spending time doing things that weren't aligned with what I valued (I wasn't even sure what I valued), my long-term goals (honestly, I didn't even know what those were because I never had time to think about it), and I was so afraid to say "no" fearing people might not see me as Super Mom. Is this you, too?

I WAS YOU. And it's still creeps up for me sometimes.
